About the teacher

Hi! I am Mariane T. Basallo, 24 years of age and currently living in Los Banos, Laguna. I am a graduate of BS Biology major in Zoology at the University of the Philippines Los Banos. I am also a consistent honor student since elementary and eventually graduated as class valedictorian both in elementary and high school. I was also our newspaper's Editor-in-Chief when I was in high school and was elected as Student Council President during my Senior year. Regarding my work experiences, I have two-year teaching experience as Grade 12 Science Teacher at the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA Calamba Campus. The subjects I taught include General Biology, General Chemistry, Disaster Readiness and Risk Reduction, and Empowerment Technologies. After that, I worked as Administrative Staff at Brain Train Tutorial and Review Center where I was trained with Customer Service Skills. Currently, I am hired as Inside Sales Representative at Diamed Enterprise, a sole proprietor company here in the Philippines that supplies various laboratory supplies and equipment. I am responsible in securing and closing company's leads and opportunities. I also prepare price quotation and send to our clients through email. Other means of communications include phone call, text messages and Viber. I am also working as Freelance writer at Livingston Research and part time Math tutor at Elbiskwela Tutorial and Review Center. Aside from my work experiences and credentials, I would like to share about my passion, talents and hobbies. I am so passionate in research and teaching. As a matter of fact, I have already completed my Education units last May 2020 and am planning to take the Licensure Exam once the schedule is finalized. For research, I was able to write several research paper when I was in College and I was given the opportunity to present my thesis during the 10th Scientific meeting of Philippine Society of Parasitology last June 2018. For my hobbies and talents, I like dancing, singing and sketching. I was a member of our Dance troupe when I was in High School and a member of our Church Music Team up until now.
